Some people, including celebrities, prefer to wear eyeglasses without frames. It’s because without frames, onlookers can see the face as a whole. People can better appreciate the colour and shape of the eyes and the face does not look top-heavy.
The same concept applies to the house. Without obstructive frames, your house looks clean and uncluttered.
Frameless glass balustrades remove obstacles so you can see everything with ease. When nothing blocks your view, these balustrades give the optical illusion of more space. Hence, you get a better view of your garden from the balcony or the cool waters while you’re resting on one side of the pool.
Glass balustrades are fast becoming a preferred option in contemporary homes and offices. Today’s houses and buildings go for the minimalist design to reduce clutter.
The trend is to have less furniture and decorations so the modern home and office becomes cleaner and more spacious.
Easy to Install
Frameless glass balustrades are easy to install. Clean the surface where you will put the balustrade then slide the shoes (support) around the corners. Afterwards, find the holes inside the shoes and mark them on the surface. Once the surfaces are marked, remove the shoes then make holes inside the marks.
Put the shoes back and screw the bolts. Place the frameless glass and slide in the gaskets in front and at the back to secure the whole balustrade. Finally, secure the outside shoe and the corners around it.
You can install the frameless balustrades yourself if you know how it works. However, be careful in handling the glass. For those not sure if they can do the job properly, there’s the option to hire a professional to install it for you.
There are different kinds of balustrades, with a certain type complementing your house. Choose wisely to make the most of your space while achieving an effortlessly sophisticated house design.
